Sogester is referred to as the container terminal where over 300,000 containers are moved annually, but by the Angolan families it is also known for its Social Projects, Activities and Contributions.
ORPHANAGE HORIZONTE AZUL
Horizonte Azul, located in Viana, is a welcoming center for orphaned children and residents in that area. Sogester weekly supports supplying of the most urgent needs such as food items, sanitary/toiletries needs and infrastructures improvements. At events such as Christmas and Children’s Day, they are presented with recreational and cultural activities.
ORPHANAGE PEQUENA SEMENTE
Located in Cacuaco, on the outskirts of Luanda. This welcoming center for disadvantaged children in the Panguila area, through an active dialogue between SOGESTER and the management of the orphanage, a food supply is made to meet the needs that the orphanage faces. It also supports security, water supply, among others, thus eliminating the uncertainties that often arise from lack of funding.
PRIMARY SCHOOL OF PANGUILA “MUSSEQUE KAPARI Nº 380”
Located less than 2 kilometres from the dry port of Panguila, Sogester sponsored the school by creating and improving the school infrastructure, thus ensuring safety, comfort and continuity of classes.
Hydrocephalus Hospital
Sogester is supporting and is compromised on children´s health and condition in the hospital. On the last six months we offer Autoclave machine that they will use in the operation room, we also gave sterilization machine, mosquito net to mitigate the malaria, which is one the cause of death in Angola, we fixed and replaced air-conditioning , lights and now we are busy building more rooms, toilets and kitchen for the patients, specially those who came from interior of Angola (different provinces), they stay in the hospital while doing treatment.
